Each of the key verses in Genesis Chapter 1 contains the active verb “BE”.  Verse 3 refers to “Let there be light….”  Eerdman’s Handbook to the Bible makes this point about God’s Names:  “As a word, Yahweh is related to the Hebrew verb “to be”.  This verb goes beyond “to exist”; it means rather ‘to be actively present’”.

Further to that is the important revelation that God is creator and we are created and brought to life by His breath/Spirit.  Also science points more and more to a BIG EXPLOSION, and even conception of the human being is with a SPARK—all pointing to energy, to spiritually generated energy.
