In Joy #1, the colors of rich blue background and golden yellow (with gold thread) point to Jesus Christ’s royalty heritage.
I joined the American Tapestry Alliance in 2017, having retired November 2016, and these two tapestries reflect my exuberance at spending time in the studio on studio projects!

Here in this photo, you see how I laid out the design with a cartoon behind the canvas stretcher frame, and use tapestry bobbins.

In Joy #2, the focus is on the worshipper’s praise raising upwards from the “Y” and towards the heavens, while being more and more engulfed in life from green through to red.
