Midnight Moon, (c) 1980, Tapestry, Catskill Views, 30″w x 42″h
This fantasy like tapestry incorporates many synthetic yarns for their shiny or nubby or bulky qualities to reflect the moon’s light on the sea and the intensity of the moonlight in a dark sky. Double weave is used for the Moon’s face to facilitate stuffing for a three-dimensional effect.
