Not Home, (c) 2022, Tapestry, Autobiographical, 17″w x 14″h

This tapestry was originally woven as one of the fifteen themes in the Catskilled Crafters Verso-Recto Book project of 2019-2020.  I wove it again, for the Roxbury Arts Group’s Inscapes Exhibit in Spring 2022. 

The inspiration for this theme comes from both a sketch of a tattered leather jacket slung on the backside of a chair I did Summer 2017 in Lisbeth Firmin’s workshop of Betty Edwards’s Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, and the poem by Robert Frost, “Death of the Hired Man”.
