“LAZARUS’S SHROUD”,

(c) 2024 Tapestry, Scripture, 3 panel  Banner, 10″w x 66″l

There are three names of GOD:  Elohim (Creator), Mashiach (Messiah/Redeemer), and Kadosh (Holy/Sanctifier).  John’s Gospel, Chapter 11, tells of Lazarus’s resurrection, yet prior to this act, both his sisters Mary and Martha testify to their belief that Jesus is the Son of God, Savior, and Holy.  Thus, I imagined that Lazarus’s burial shroud would contain these words, and to be read right to left.

In the side column are two photos taken at the Jewish Museum (New York City).  A Torah Binder may have been initially a male infant’s swaddling cloth with special text embroidered onto it.  Hence, why not a burial shroud?
